Senior Network Engineer
to join us as part of the
Virtual Warfare Center
team located in
Berkeley, MO . The Virtual Warfare Center’s Infrastructure team is responsible for the design, maintenance and operation of computing, networking, audio-visual and physical environment.
Position Responsibilities
Leads the identification, analysis and documentation of requirements for network transport technologies and services.
Leads the design, implementation, and maintenance of the networks to ensure reliable and secure connectivity.
Creates, implements, maintains and documents basic network designs that conform to architectural and security standards.
Supports component/equipment research.
Collects data to provide project cost estimates.
Facilitates integration of new technologies and the transition from legacy systems to support business requirements.
Diagnose and resolve network problems, including hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
Work Location & Travel 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Berkeley, MO. Travel may be required up to 10% of the time.
Security Clearance Requires an active US Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI Clearance Post Start (U.S. Citizenship Required). An active clearance in the past 24 months is considered active.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
Active Top Secret Clearance.
9+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience.
Experience with Design, Implementation and Troubleshooting of Local Area Networks (LAN) and Wide Area Networks (WAN).
Experience with Cisco routers and switches & Cisco IOS implementations.
Experience utilizing Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) network protocols.
Preferred Qualifications
CCNA or other Cisco Certification.
Security+ Certified (or similar certification meeting DoD Directive 8570.01 Certification Requirements).
SCI eligibility pre-hire highly preferred.
