Microsoft Elevate is a global initiative designed to empower mission‑driven organizations and individuals to thrive in the AI‑powered economy. Launched this year, Elevate consolidates and expands upon the work of Microsoft Philanthropies and the Tech for Social Impact team, bringing together technology support, donations, sales, and skilling programs for schools, community colleges, nonprofits, and underserved communities. At its core, Elevate is about putting people first—ensuring that artificial intelligence enhances human potential rather than replacing it.
As an AI Business Process Solution Engineer – Finance & Supply Chain (ERP), you are a functional business process and technical workload expert within the Elevate commercial sales organization working specifically with Nonprofit‑managed customers. You play a key role in the total sales cycle by helping them with their end‑to‑end business transformation needs through envisioning, designing, and demonstrating solutions mapped to business value within the area of your workload expertise. You will be a key member of the sales team that consists of the AI Business Process (formerly Business Applications) Solution Specialist, Account Executive, Customer Success Unit, partners, and engineering.
In this role you will advance the sales pipeline by assisting the Solution Specialist in qualifying the deal, developing the strategy, and inspiring the Business and Technical Decision Makers. You will develop relationships with the decision makers within our customers and position yourself as a trusted advisor in your domain. You are responsible for designing solutions and delivering industry‑aligned demonstrations to the customer. Demos will focus on solving the technical proof requirements while highlighting our business value and differentiators and should result in securing the customer’s solution design endorsement. Once the solution design is secured, you will support the Solution Specialist in finalizing the customer proposal and assisting with licensing. You will engage partners for co‑sell and implementation considerations, engineering to assist with emerging technologies, and Customer Success Unit for deal support.
Responsibilities
Advance qualified pipeline revenue by demonstrating solution capabilities, addressing technical proof requirements, and securing the customer’s solution design endorsement.
Engage with customer technical decision makers and anticipate customer needs and issues proactively through data gathering.
Engage in partner sell‑with scenarios by facilitating technical engagements and partnering with colleagues to manage the sales process while sharing competitive insights from customer sessions with colleagues and escalating competitive situations to influence strategies.
Provide strategic, technical input based on Microsoft capability to contribute to strategy development, leveraging partner and internal teams.
Identify and apply existing demonstration assets and oversee demonstrations (e.g., architectural design sessions, proof‑of‑concept sessions) of solutions based on specific Microsoft products through initial engagements. Leverage partner/customer teams as needed to prove capabilities and integration into customer environment. Review partner demonstrations and provide feedback to ensure alignment with Microsoft standards.
Build your readiness plan and proactively identify learning gaps. Grow domain knowledge and practice expertise by communicating with customers, partners and colleagues to expand knowledge of architecture.
Conduct group training or one‑to‑many events (e.g., workshops, webinars) or leverage existing scale enablement programs to present and educate customers and colleagues on the capabilities and benefits across Microsoft solutions/products.
Monitor and respond to internal and external tech community posts, attend community calls, sessions, hackathons, etc., and act as a mentor for your technology area and contribute to Customer Executive Briefing Center sessions.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field AND 4+ years technical pre‑sales or technical consulting experience
OR equivalent experience.
Relevant certifications from Microsoft or competitive platforms and experience in ERP workloads.
