Construction Project Manager – Best Buy
Base pay range: $80,274.00/yr - $143,208.00/yr
As the Construction Project Manager, you’ll lead projects related to remodels, new stores, relocations, expansions, downsizes, delivery pads, retail office spaces, emergency stores, large facility projects and merchandise‑driven projects. You’ll monitor and maintain project financial reports, partner with other departments to cross‑functionally monitor activities and establish policies and procedures for quality control.
Role is hybrid; will require some on‑site work at the Best Buy location and some remote work.
What You’ll Do
Read, understand and redline architectural and engineering drawings and specifications. Oversee the RFP/bidding process and negotiate construction, vendor and consultant contracts, including execution and accountability. Recognize and identify project variances and present clear, concise recommendations to department leadership; maintain and update accurate forecast budgets, project records and schedules. Provide input in approving construction documents and assist the team in resolving preliminary design issues and site constraints; develop scope of work, project schedule and budgets. Travel to job sites for scope surveys, bid walks, construction start kick‑off, progress visits, job meetings and punch‑list walks. Complete close‑out processes including inspections, certificates of occupancy, punch‑list follow‑up, sworn construction statements, receipt of lien waivers and warranty information. Basic Qualifications
5 years of construction project management experience. 5 years of negotiating experience. 3 years of management responsibility with people or resources. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams. Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in architecture, construction management or engineering. Experience with BlueBeam and CAD. Benefits
