Position Overview The Regional Property Manager will act as the primary connection between the executive team and site-level staff, providing leadership and oversight of Property Managers and the Maintenance Director.

This role is responsible for ensuring operational excellence, compliance with all applicable programs and regulations, and financial accountability across the portfolio. It also contributes to long-term portfolio goals, including recapitalization, asset repositioning, and other organizational initiatives.

The Regional Property Manager will work on-site and will regularly travel to local properties, typically 2–3 days each week.

The position encompasses supervision, team development, daily operations management, compliance, resident engagement, financial oversight, strategic planning, and policy enforcement. Duties include mentoring and supporting staff, guiding organizational transitions, resolving compliance concerns, reinforcing Fair Housing and landlord-tenant law compliance, addressing escalated resident issues, preparing performance reports, submitting budgets, monitoring financial performance, and collaborating on recapitalization and repositioning strategies.

The Regional Property Manager also develops and enforces operating policies and procedures, manages recruitment and evaluation of property management staff, and partners with HR on workforce planning, retention, and succession planning.

Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive experience in property management, with at least three (3) years in a regional or multi-site leadership role.

Demonstrated ability to supervise and mentor Property Managers, Maintenance Directors, and cross-functional staff.

Strong knowledge of affordable housing compliance programs, including LIHTC, HUD, Section 8, REAC, and NSPIRE.

Proven experience managing operating budgets, analyzing variances, and preparing executive-level financial and performance reporting.

Experience supporting recapitalization strategies, ownership restructurings, and asset repositioning.

Effective leadership skills with the ability to build and retain high-performing teams, resolve conflicts, and foster a culture of accountability and resident-centered service.

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills for interaction with staff, residents, executive leadership, and external stakeholders.

Proficiency in property management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and reporting tools.

Bachelor’s degree in business, real estate, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally several days per week.
