Job Description

Should have a minimum of 7+ years industry experience

Excellent IP networking fundamentals and extensive experience in the application of IP protocols for both IPv4 and IPv6.

In-depth knowledge of, and experience with, major internet routing protocols; preferably BGP and OSPF

In-depth knowledge of, and experience with, major routing and switching platforms; preferably Cisco Catalyst and Nexus, and Juniper SRX, QFX, MX

Excellent network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills

Candidates should have significant past experience with many of the following: LAN/WAN Ethernet, MSTP, VRRP, GSLB, anycast, multicast, MPLS, TACACS, IPSEC, VPN, Netflow, SNMP, syslog

Willing to work flexible hours as needed and participate in a team on-call rotation

Thorough understanding of TCP/IP networking, core technologies such as IP, TCP, OSPF, BGP, Firewalls, ACLs, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, etc.

2+ years of major internet routing protocols experience through network layers 1‑4

2+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment

1+ years of network automation scripting using Python, Perl, Bash, or similar

Experience with cloud networking in AWS using Terraform or CDK

Lead improvements in existing processes and identify opportunities to enhance or develop new processes

Experience working in a highly available network and highly operationally aware

Knowledge of network hardware and packet forwarding architectures

Experience with IPv6/IPv4 design and implementations

Network Development Engineer Requirements

Update code packages, send out CRs by following a well‑defined process

Run scripts to generate network configs

Travel to LAB sites to apply configs

Thorough understanding of TCP/IP networking, IP routing, core technologies such as IP, TCP, OSPF, BGP, Firewalls, ACLs, DNS, DHCP, IPAM, etc.

Experience with one or more of the following router, server load balancer, and firewall vendor platforms: Cisco, Juniper, Alcatel‑Lucent, Arista, Brocade, Extreme, Citrix, F5, Fortinet, Palo Alto, etc.

3+ years of major internet routing protocols experience through network layers 1‑4

3+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience

Experience Python and providing valuable insights

3+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl experience

Lead improvements in existing processes and identify opportunities to enhance or develop new processes

Experience working in a highly available network and highly operationally aware

Knowledge of network hardware and packet forwarding architectures

Experience work in the Lab

Experience with IPv6/IPv4 Design and implementations

Candidate Requirements

Biased for action, ownership, & stakeholder management

Need to have programming skills

Degrees/Certification: prefer AWS certification for Networking – typical bachelor’s degree
