Overview:
NTT DATA is seeking a skilled Azure Data Engineer to join the Data Village team. This role involves working on‑site in Nashville as part of a dynamic team focused on delivering cutting‑edge data solutions. The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of experience in data engineering, with expertise in Azure Cloud, Azure Functions, SQL/PLSQL, Python, and Power BI.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain robust data solutions using Azure data services (functions, Data Factory, infrastructure, API‑based extraction), SQL/PLSQL (Oracle), Python, and Power BI.
Build data pipelines to source and transform data based on business requirements. Java experience is preferred but not required.
Apply financial data analysis, risk, and compliance data management to support financial services customers.
Continuously learn new technologies and adopt them within a month.
Collaborate with financial services clients to build modern data solutions that transform how they leverage data for key business decisions, investment portfolio performance analysis, and risk and compliance management.
Work within a pod of 4+ data engineers toward common objectives in a consultative fashion with clients.
Use Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, and SQL (PL/SQL) for data movement, streaming, and transformation services, ensuring efficient and reliable data workflows.
Lead data initiatives with a client that is an industry leader in using data to drive business decision optimization and investment management strategies.
Requirements
4-7 years of experience in data engineering.
Proficiency in Azure data services: Azure Functions, Azure Data Factory, Azure infrastructure, API‑based extraction.
Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts.
Advanced Python programming skills for data pipelines.
Experience integrating data from various sources using API and file‑based extraction.
Knowledge of relational databases and data warehouses/data lakes.
Expertise in securing data in transit and at rest.
Experience building and managing data pipelines using Azure Data Factory.
Experience with Azure Data Lake storage.
Proficiency with GitHub version control.
Adequate Java experience.
Adequate Power BI experience.
Nice to have: experience in financial data analysis, risk, and compliance data management.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
Adaptability to new technologies.
