Position Overview We’re looking for a skilled Estimator with experience in reviewing construction drawings and performing material takeoffs to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will bring a strong attention to detail, an ability to interpret technical drawings, and a background in construction or manufacturing estimating.

This role plays a key part in ensuring the accuracy of bids, cost projections, and proposals for our expanding line of perimeter security systems.

Key Responsibilities

Review architectural, civil, and structural drawings to determine project scope and barrier placement requirements.

Perform detailed quantity takeoffs for steel, hardware, hydraulics, and electrical components.

Develop accurate and competitive cost estimates and bid proposals for barrier systems and installation packages.

Coordinate with engineering, project management, and production teams to validate feasibility and costing assumptions.

Communicate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain and evaluate material and labor pricing.

Maintain organized estimate records, pricing databases, and job cost templates.

Participate in pre‑bid meetings, RFQ reviews, and project handoff discussions.

Identify value‑engineering opportunities to improve cost efficiency and competitiveness.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in estimating or takeoffs for construction, fabrication, or metal manufacturing.

Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting construction and engineering drawings.

Experience using takeoff or estimating software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar tools.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other standard office applications.

Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.

Ability to handle multiple bids and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.

Familiarity with crash‑rated or security barrier products is a plus.

Experience estimating mechanical and electrical components a plus.
