What you will be doing as the IT Product Owner:

Work with cross‑functional teams to prioritize features in the product backlog and forward roadmap, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs in insurance fintech.

Collaborate closely with development teams to refine requirements, conduct backlog grooming, and ensure products meet quality standards and regulatory demands.

Gather stakeholder feedback, monitor market trends (e.g., fintech innovations in annuities), and adjust roadmaps for continuous improvement and successful sprints.

Maximize product value through risk pricing, user story definition, and agile ceremonies like refinement and prioritization.

Act as the bridge between business and tech, identifying user needs, scheduling releases, and coordinating with customers for optimal outcomes.

Drive strategic execution in fintech/insurance contexts, focusing on scalability and value delivery in agile environments.

What you will need as the IT Product Owner:

Bachelor's in Business, IT, or related; 5+ years as a Product Owner in agile software development, ideally in insurance, fintech, or financial services.

Expertise in Scrum/Kanban methodologies, backlog management, user story creation, and tools like Jira, Trello, or Azure DevOps.

Experience with product visioning, stakeholder collaboration, and market analysis; CSPO or PSPO certification a plus.

Strong analytical skills for risk assessment and prioritization; familiarity with annuity products or financial domains preferred.

Excellent communication and leadership to facilitate team success in fast‑paced settings.

Technical Proficiency: Background in software development, coding/design basics, Agile SDLC, CI/CD pipelines, testing practices, and object‑oriented principles.

Leadership and Collaboration: Leadership to bridge business and tech teams, facilitate continuous improvement, and drive releases in fintech contexts like annuity products.

Analytical Skills: Data‑driven decision‑making, market trend analysis, problem‑solving, and knowing when to say "no" to scope creep.

Stakeholder Management: Strong communication to represent end users, gather feedback, conduct agile ceremonies, and align with business goals in regulatory environments.

Prioritization and Vision: Ability to prioritize features, refine roadmaps, focus on product vision, and maximize value through risk assessment and backlog grooming.

Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with financial services, insurance trends, and certifications like CSPO or PSPO.
