Reliability Engineer (Open)

$100,000.00 - $120,000.00/Annually (DOE)

How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? The Reliability Engineer (RE) will be an integral part of the development and execution of the reliability strategy and associated reliability programs within Airgas Merchant Gases (AMG) – Primary Production. AMG consists of 70+ industrial gas production sites across the United States. The RE is a leader in safety and identifies and manages asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations, including developing and assisting Plant Managers with projects to correct these risks. The RE must interface successfully with associates across the United States and influence the organization to drive continuous improvement of reliability in the AMG facilities.

Required Qualifications
5+ years of Maintenance and Reliability experience
Root-cause and Root-Cause Failure Analysis (RCA, RCFA) including complex investigations
Familiarity with reliability tools such as Preliminary Hazard Analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, Criticality Analysis, Simplified FMEA, Maintainability Information, Fault Tree Analysis, Event Tree Analysis, and predictive technologies including oil analysis, vibration analysis, ultrasonic noise analysis, and infrared analysis
Preferred Qualifications
10+ years of Maintenance and Reliability experience
BS in Reliability Engineering or related technical field
Certified Reliability Engineer (CRE) preferred
Experience with Reliability Risk Assessment Studies and prioritization of action items based on risk to reliability
TapRoot training preferred
Extensive knowledge of rotating machinery, process equipment, and associated maintenance practices; familiarity with safety and regulatory requirements including API and ASME codes
