Oracle Database Administrator (Oracle DBA)
Location: Washington, DC – Hybrid. Full-time.

Job Description As an Oracle DBA, you will administer, configure, and maintain Oracle databases (12c/19c) across WebLogic, OIM, and Exadata environments. This includes database installation, upgrades, patching, performance tuning, and ensuring system reliability, security, and compliance. You will also support multiple database technologies such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, and MySQL, providing troubleshooting, backup, and recovery expertise. Collaboration with development and infrastructure teams is key to optimizing performance and supporting enterprise applications.
Responsibilities
Administer, configure, and maintain Oracle databases (12c/19c).
Perform database installation, upgrades, patching, and performance tuning.
Ensure system reliability, security, and compliance.
Support multiple database technologies (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MariaDB, MySQL) with troubleshooting, backup, and recovery.
Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to optimize database performance and support enterprise applications.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
8+ years of experience across database technologies (SQL Server, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.).
Minimum 8 years’ experience in database management.
Proficiency in configuring Oracle applications and databases, including WebLogic, OIM, and Exadata.
Strong understanding of MS SQL, SQL Server (Cluster), MariaDB, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, and MS Access.
Ability to create and manage standalone SQL and Oracle databases.
Competence in identifying issues, performing server maintenance, and installing software patches.
