Job Title: Grants Manager
Salary: $70K-$85K DOE
Location: Tustin

Position Purpose Grant Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of grant funding at Families Together of Orange County (FTOC). This role ensures the organization’s financial sustainability by identifying, evaluating, and securing grant opportunities that align with FTOC’s mission and strategic priorities. The Grant Manager will proactively research and assess available funding sources, prepare and submit compelling grant proposals, and maintain accurate records of awarded grants. This position will collaborate closely with internal departments and leadership to monitor compliance, ensure ethical allocation of funds, and verify that all grant activities adhere to organizational policies, industry standards, and applicable regulatory requirements. Additionally, the Grants Manager will track reporting deadlines, maintain thorough documentation, and continuously evaluate the organization’s grant management processes to ensure efficiency, accountability, and transparency in the use of all grant-related resources.
Core Duties and responsibilities, include but are not limited to:
Research and identify prospective funders – including Foundations, Local, State & Federal grant opportunities – to support current and prospective programs and identified areas of financial growth.
Determine proposal concept by identifying and clarifying opportunities and needs, studying requests for proposal (RFPs), and attending strategy meetings
Develop proposals by assembling information, including project nature, objectives/outcomes/deliverables, implementation, methods, timetable, staffing, budget, standards of performance, and evaluation
Prepare proposals by determining concepts, gathering and formatting information, writing drafts, and obtaining approvals
Present perspective grants to the executive team.
Meet proposal deadline by establishing priorities and target dates for information gathering, writing, review, approval, and transmittal
Be primary grants writer, revise, and edit drafts, including Letters of Interest (LOI), executive summaries, conclusions, and organization credentials
Coordinate requirements with funders and contribute proposal status information for internal review meetings
Maintain grants database to ensure accurate information about funders, giving history, areas of interest, progress on work plans, and on-time delivery of all materials needed through the entire grant cycle
Maintain electronic filing systems, making sure they are accurate, timely, and facilitating easy retrieval of information
Track, write, and submit all grant-funded program reports with support from internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with grant deliverables and funding requirements
Ensure HRSA Compliance is met, including creating progress reports and Change of Scope
Other responsibilities as assigned

Education, Qualifications, and Experience:
Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum of 2 years demonstrated professional experience in grants management
Preferred experience in capital campaigns
Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organization and attention to detail
Able to maintain strict confidentiality
Able to work independently and collaboratively
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with deadlines while remaining flexible to adapt to and manage the unexpected
Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment that changes quickly
