£45,000 – £50,000 (negotiable DOE) plus Excellent Benefits Package
Our client is a Tier 1 contractor within the water industry within a Framework environment. Delivering over half of Anglian Water’s capital investment programme. The framework is heading into its latest Asset Management Period, known as AMP7, which will deliver a £1.8bn programme of work over the next five years.
They are recruiting a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Advisor. The role will improve SHEA awareness and behaviours, strengthen team collaboration and development, and report to the SHEA Systems Manager.
Key responsibilities
Support operational teams in developing safety behaviours consistent with the Safer element of our LIFE strategy.
Engage with key stakeholders, identify and plan to meet organisational behavioural needs.
Measure safety culture throughout the organisation and identify where improvement opportunities are required.
Deliver behavioural change through active engagement with stakeholders.
Facilitate open communication for the client.
Maintain and deliver LIFE orientation programme to meet the client’s needs.
Support the delivery of relevant sections of the work programme.
Deliver POSWSH and/or EUSR National Water Hygiene training as requested.
Support the delivery of developed health and safety training programmes.
Assess organisational needs, design, plan and deliver (or facilitate with external providers) a programme of training and coaching for office and site staff.
Develop and support an appropriate measure of the impact of the programme being delivered and its contribution to the growth and strengthening of the client’s organisation and functional teams.
Co‑ordinate knowledge reach‑back into all partner organisations to ensure knowledge sharing and innovative behavioural safety initiatives are implemented.
Actively participate in forums to share best practice and, where possible, implement proven initiatives developed by others.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
Technician grade membership of IOSH (Tech IOSH) or above.
CSCS Safety Professional card.
Nationally recognised teaching/instruction qualification.
Ability to use Microsoft Office & cloud‑based systems.
