Responsibilities The Controller serves as a strategic business partner to plant and corporate leadership, overseeing all financial management, reporting, and analysis activities for Miba Sinter USA. This role ensures accurate financial reporting, cost transparency, and compliance with Miba Group standards while supporting operational excellence and continuous improvement. The Controller drives financial performance, supports strategic decisions, and contributes to the company’s long‑term growth and profitability.
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closings, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial statements.
Prepare and analyze P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements in accordance with Miba Group and U.S. GAAP standards.
Provide insightful financial analyses, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to improve profitability.
Manage local budgeting and forecasting processes in coordination with global controlling.
Cost Accounting & Manufacturing Support
Oversee cost accounting activities, including standard cost development, variance analysis, and cost center management.
Partner with operations and production teams to monitor and optimize manufacturing costs, scrap, and productivity.
Support product line profitability analysis, capacity planning, and inventory valuation.
Lead annual standard cost updates and support process improvement initiatives.
Internal Controls & Compliance
Ensure compliance with Miba Group internal control standards, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
Participate in internal and external audits, implementing corrective actions as needed.
Maintain adherence to tax, legal, and regulatory requirements at local, state, and federal levels.
Maintain integrity of financial data within ERP systems (SAP or equivalent) and related business tools.
Support digitalization and automation initiatives to improve data accuracy and reporting efficiency.
Provide financial training and system support to non‑finance departments.
Requirements
Bachelor degree in relevant discipline
5+ years of progressive finance or controlling experience, ideally in manufacturing or automotive industries.
Demonstrated experience with cost accounting, financial reporting, and ERP systems (SAP preferred)
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks.
Strong business partnership and communication skills
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SAP preferred
