THE WORK:
You’ll inspect concrete structures and associated items such as: prestressed post tension bridges, retaining walls, box culverts, sound walls, false work, CIDH piles, steel piles, anchor bolts, sheet piles, reinforcement, soil nail walls.
You’ll ensure compliance with the approved plans as well as City, State and Federal construction and safety standards and codes.
You’ll review structure shop drawings submitted to determine that such plans meet the requirements of all contractual documents.
You’ll make field inspections when necessary to clarify plans.
You’ll confer or correspond with Engineer of Record, clients or contractors concerning questions involved in constructability reviews.
You’ll make recommendations for changes during constructability reviews and supports the RFI process during construction.
You’ll attend weekly on‑site construction meetings.
You’ll provide photo or video documentation.
You’ll attend seminars and training courses to stay informed on new developments in the related field and to obtain current information of code changes.
You’ll establish and maintain effective and professional relationships with work colleagues, supervisors and managers.
Onsite at client site : The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships. There will be both day and night shift assignments.
With all our roles, there is some in‑person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities. As an employer, we will be as flexible as possible to support your specific work/life needs.
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
B.S. or higher degree in Engineering, Architecture or Building Construction
OR
Associate’s degree in engineering, Architecture or Building Construction and additional 1 (one) year of paid professional experience
OR
EIT and 5 (five) years of related paid professional experience
OR
Valid 5 (five) years of verified structural inspection experience
Minimum of 2 (two) years of verified structural inspection experience
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
Relevant Caltrans and Metro inspection certifications
Highway experience, specifically with Caltrans
Knowledge of Caltrans and Metro’s Policies and Procedures as it Relates to Quality
Knowledge of standard plans, Specifications, California Test Methods, and various constructional manuals
Knowledge of cast in place bridge experience with hinges, retaining walls, precast concrete girders, and large diameter CIDH piles
Verbal, written, and oral skills with experience in multitasking
Candidate will be a team player and solution oriented
CMIT, ACI, NICET, APWA certifications
$67 - $92 an hour
Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in Illinois, Minnesota, California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Maryland, Massachusetts, New York, Ohio or Washington as set forth below.
