Sigma Defense is currently seeking a
PMW 160 Futures Capabilities WAN Engineer
to support the design of Navy networks. Specifics tasks include: Development of network topologies and templates from system requirements, development of network templates and IP plans, development of test plans and documentation, and configuration and documentation of SDWAN solutions.

6+ years of experience supporting the engineering of Information Technology systems for a DoD or Government Agency and the specific LCAT requirements the candidates is proposed under.
3+ years of experience developing technical documentation.
Proven track record of performance in client facing roles that require engagement and relationship building with stakeholders across Navy programs, the DoD, or other federal agencies.
Experience with SDN/ SD-WAN Technologies and vendors including VMware, NSX-T, Cisco, Juniper, and open-source solutions.
Experience with network configuration for L2/L3 switches, routers, and security appliances (firewalls, NIDS, NIPS, etc).
Experience developing and documenting network topologies.
Experience in troubleshooting and restoring network and system outages.
Experience in virtualization technologies.
CCNP (or equivalent) certification.
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Candidate Differentiators
Experience with RF communications, specifically MILSATCOM or COMSATCOM technologies.
Experience leveraging NetDevOps or DevSecOps to scale enterprise level engineering projects.
Experience with Network Automation in Python, Ansible, NETCONF, and/or RESTCONF.
Experience modeling network configuration in JSON, YAML, or Jinja.
Experience developing and maturing complex, collaborative networking projects and working autonomously to move network development forward.
Personnel Clearance Level
Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active Secret security clearance or higher.
Clearance will be sponsored for the right candidate.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in an Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physical Science, or related field of study.
Other Bachelor's degree or equivalent education/training may be substituted for (i) 4 additional years experience supporting the engineering of Information Technology systems for a DoD or Government Agency (for a total of 10 years)*and* (ii) 3 years experience supporting the engineering of DoD Afloat Network systems (CANES, ADNS, ISNS, CENTRIXS, SCI Networks, SUBLAN, and/or COMPOSE).
Essential Job Duties (not all-inclusive)

Salary Range $110,000 - $130,000 annually.
