Position Summary

St. Christopher's School, the largest all-boys school in Virginia and one of the oldest in the Mid-Atlantic, seeks a motivated and dependable Day Camp Assistant Director to support the Day Camp Director in creating a safe, engaging, well-organized, and fun 8-week summer day camp program. This hands-on role involves a wide range of responsibilities. It is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and enjoys contributing to a positive camp community. Summer Saints Day Camp Director Principal Responsibilities

Support the Day Camp Director with planning and daily activities necessary to run the Day Camp Support the Day Camp Director's oversight of counselors and activity leaders Assist with morning setup for all camp activities Help coordinate and monitor camp lunch Assist with preparing and keeping track of counselor badge lanyards, radios, and the clock-in area Help keep groups on time as they transition throughout the day Assist with Monday morning camper check-ins Keep track of camp supplies Distribute schedules, rosters, and notes as needed for lead counselors Circulate throughout the day to provide support where needed, troubleshoot issues, and ensure camper safety Assist with end-of-season cleanup, inventory, and closing procedures for the Day Camp Qualifications and Key Skills

Summary of Employee Benefits for Full-Time Employees Full-time employees work a minimum of 1,000 hours per year. Retirement Plan The School contributes 7.5% of the employee's contract salary each year to a 403(b) Defined Contribution Retirement Plan for employees at least 21 years of age who have completed one year of full-time employment with St. Christopher's School. A matching contribution of 1.5% is provided if the employee defers at least 1.5% of salary, for a potential total School contribution of 9.0%. Medical Insurance The School pays 100% of the Consumer Directed Health Plan, including vision coverage. Dependents can be added or upgraded to a traditional PPO Plan at the employee’s expense through the School’s contribution. Dental Insurance Employees may choose from current plans and are responsible for 100% of the premium. Long-Term Disability & Professional Liability Insurance Long-term disability and professional liability insurance are provided at no cost to the employee. Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment Insurance Life and AD&D insurance are provided at no cost to the employee equal to 1x the employee's contract salary. Supplemental coverage is available at the employee’s expense. Pre-tax Savings Accounts Employees may participate in pre-tax savings accounts (dependent care FSA, medical FSA, or HSA) subject to IRS limits.
