Responsibilities

Works under general supervision to provide facility security.

Provides unarmed guarding and patrolling of premises and security rounds.

Assists with medical emergencies.

Assists with front office services.

Provides shuttle service.

Assists with maintenance tasks.

Records information and prepares reports.

Maintains records of security activities in the appropriate records and logs.

Performs duties required by departmental supervision.

Answers calls from customers, employees, and management to respond to inquiries.

Requirements

This job normally requires a level of knowledge in security service equivalent to that which would be acquired through the completion of some college or equivalent certification.

Demonstration of directly related work experience, which has provided an equivalent breadth, and depth of knowledge may be considered in lieu of the educational requirement.

Proficiency in the use of computer business applications with working knowledge of computerized hotel reservations systems.

This job normally requires two years of experience in positions involving law enforcement or security services.

EMT or advanced first aid certification and practical experience preferred.

A current, valid Alaska driver’s license, with a clean driving record is required.

Must pass a pre-employment background check.

Minimum age of 18 years required to reside in company housing, where available.

Participates in HAP’s sustainability program, aka “Sustain Alaska & the Yukon”, and efforts by actively recycling (where available), reducing waste, and educating guests about our commitment to the environment.

Participate in HAP’s safety culture to ensure a safe workplace for all team members and a safe vacation experience for all guests.

Ability to organize and prioritize work, maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.

Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.

Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for minimum of 8 hours per day.
