The public area team set the tone for the entire property. How the property looks and feels plays a huge part in the guest experience. You will be out and about, ensuring all guest and employee areas are safe and clean according to safety standards. You provide excellent customer service and location information while supporting the overall goals of the company. You will be motivating and supervising the public areas team and assisting in other areas of the housekeeping department as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervising, training, coaching, and disciplining public areas team.

Performing janitorial duties of the main lodge and all public area spaces while using chemicals safely and in accordance with company policies and procedures.

Cleaning and stocking all restrooms, sweeping, and mopping floors.

Delivering amenities and linens to guests and housekeeping closets.

Monitor and clean exterior locations of all trash and litter.

Communicate with supervisors and other team members for service or technical updates, requests, or concerns.

Maintain organization for all housekeeping storage areas, ensuring they are clean of clutter and free of cross-contamination.

Complete regular projects and deep cleaning.

Interact and communicate with guests, providing property-specific and local information, answering questions, and communicating concerns to the supervisor, creating memorable moments for our guests.

REQUIREMENTS

Must pass a pre-employment background check.

Minimum age of 18 years is required to reside in company housing, where available.

Must be eligible to work in the United States.

Holland America-Princess

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Ability to organize and prioritize work, and maintain attention to time constraints, while working in a team or group environment.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and external influences.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while achieving daily goals.

Ability to support and comply with company policies, procedures, and guidelines including support and comply with company health and safety standards.

Ability to stand/walk/work on feet for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
