## ****All Job Postings will close at 12:01 a.m. CT on the specified Closing Date (if designated).******Working Title:**MSUAASF Range D - TRIO SSS Assistant Director**Institution:**Metropolitan State University**Classification Title:**MSUAASF Range D**Bargaining Unit / Union:**211: Minnesota State University Association of Administrative Service Faculty**City:**St. Paul**FLSA:**Job Exempt**Full Time / Part Time:**Full time**Employment Condition:**Unclassified - Unlimited Academic**Salary Range:**$54,344.00 - $116,608.00**Job Description**Metro State University, Minnesota’s public, urban university, and four-time recipient of the Insight Into Diversity Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award is seeking to hire a TRIO SSS Assistant Director**.** This is a full-time, externally funded position within the Student Success Division, TRIO Student Support Services Department.**Responsibilities:*** Assist and manage the delivery of program services in collaboration with the TRIO SSS Director in meeting grant objectives and requirements.* Advise a caseload of assigned TRIO program participants.* Collaborate, develop, coordinate, and implement program activities that enhance recruitment, retention, academic progress, and graduation of program participants.* Develop, monitor, and train program staff on evaluation strategies to measure the program and delivery of services effectiveness to enhance the quality of the program in meeting divisional benchmarks and grant objectives.* Management of the Travelers EDGE program services and activities.**Minimum Qualifications**The following qualifications are required of all applicants seeking consideration for this position. Only applicants whose resumes clearly demonstrate fulfillment of each of these minimum qualifications will be considered for the position:* Master’s degree plus four years of advanced professional experience in education, counseling, advising, student development, and/or community engagement.* Must demonstrate at least two years of professional experience working directly with first-generation, limited-income individuals and/or individuals with disabilities* Experience that demonstrates a working knowledge of academic advising principles, counseling strategies, student development theory, and high-impact retention strategies.* Previous experience with TRIO programs or related federal programs from the U.S. Department of Education, demonstrating advanced knowledge of complex principles, policies, and procedures related to the federal grants.**Preferred Qualification*** Knowledge and experience with relevant software applications for communication, record-keeping, and documenting programs and student activities.* Experience with budget management.* Personal experience of overcoming barriers to educational success and similar populations that TRIO serves.**Other Requirements****Notice**: In accordance with the Minnesota State Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to Minnesota State’s vehicle use criteria and consent to a motor vehicle records check.**Physical Requirements of the Job:****Very Light:**

This is a Minnesota State University Association of Administrative and Service Faculty (MSUAASF) Range D position with a salary range of $54,344 (minimum) to $116,608 (maximum).
