Job Summary
Our client is seeking a qualified Medical Billing Specialist to process accounts receivable for all CNS facilities and select physicians. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high level of accuracy in documentation and input, as well as flexibility and adaptability to the needs of staff, insurance carriers, and patients. This full-time role during weekdays requires some overtime on an as-needed basis. Responsibilities include managing data within a computer system, handling billing inquiries, and maintaining professional relationships with all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Receive and tabulate information from the database to prepare invoices. Assist therapists with billing inquiries. Process A/R billing promptly and enter information into a computerized system. Print, transmit, and mail invoices, ensuring all necessary documentation is included. Verify insurance and billing information for non-covered charges and maintain this data. Attend facility billing meetings and collaborate with Reimbursement Specialists for A/R collections. Maintain systematic files for all patients and foster professional and ethical relationships. Qualifications
High school graduation or G.E.D. required. 2+ years of experience preferred in medical billing. Proficient in Word, Word Perfect, Excel, and Microsoft Office applications. Skills
Technical skills: Computer proficiency in office applications. Soft skills: Strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to adapt to varying situations. Additional Requirements
Ability to handle and manipulate data binders, files, and invoices weighing up to 25 pounds. Fine motor coordination for data input and handling of reports. Benefits
