THE CHICAGO CUBS FRANCHISE
The Chicago Cubs franchise, a charter member of Major League Baseball's National League since 1876, has won the National League pennant 17 times and was the first team to win back-to-back World Series titles in the 1907 and 1908 seasons. In 2016, the Chicago Cubs made history again when the team won its first World Series in 108 years, ending the longest championship drought in North American sports. Known for its ivy-covered outfield walls, hand-operated scoreboard and famous Marquee, iconic Wrigley Field has been the home of the Chicago Cubs since 1916 and is the second oldest ballpark in Major League Baseball. In 2009, the Ricketts family assumed ownership of the Chicago Cubs and established three main goals for the organization: Win the World Series, Preserve and Improve Wrigley Field, and Be a Good Neighbor.
HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE
HRIS and Analytics Manager is responsible for the optimization of the organization's HRIS (Workday) through collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure efficiency and accuracy. This individual will direct analysis of HR data, drive data integrity, and develop standard and custom reports and dashboards. Ensures that systems and reporting meet all legal, regulatory and compliance requirements as well as ensure that all system users have access to the data and reports required to support their job functions.
As a smaller organization, this is an HRIS team of one. So, the successful candidate for this position will need to be someone that thrives in both supporting day-to-day operational needs while also focusing on longer-term strategies.
THE DAY-TO-DAY: Manage system solutions for HR and Payroll teams, business partners and technical teams to provide ongoing Workday support and project management. Gather and define requirements and recommendations, design and implement solutions for long-term sustainability, and ensure user ease of adoption. Analyze, implement, and improve HR systems; identify opportunities for process improvements, ensure rigorous testing processes are used, and implement solutions. Uses findings to develop processes, procedures, and workflows to improve operational effectiveness. Serves as a subject matter expert for analytics through quantitative analysis, data mining, and machine learning techniques to understand the employee experience, including developing methodologies for flagging opportunities for intervention Create and maintain standard and custom reports, including dashboards, to meet the reporting requirements for all levels of the company, and ensure all reports are implemented in a timely manner using high quality data presented in a logical and understandable format. Configure and implement system upgrades and enhancements, lead testing and data validation, and ensure that business process mapping and overall system performance is aligned with organizational objectives. Leverage technology to improve the associate experience, increase productivity and to build a HRIS community and oversee testing to support HR system data integration and yearly system release changes, coordinating this effort across the organization. Maintain system security setups and create new roles within Workday and any additional systems used by interdependent departments ensuring access is given appropriately to new user based on security rights and needs. Ensure that required and necessary documentation is completed and properly maintained in order to provide substantiation and assist with future audits. Run periodic audits with system setups and interfaced vendors to ensure data consistency and accuracy. Excellent communication skills are required for planning and organization, and the ability to explain conclusions and solutions to team members who have limited knowledge and experience with system functionality and quantitative analytical methods. Manage summary overview for Workday releases and new system features-and participate in the communication of changes and benefits to end users. Develop knowledge transfer strategies and techniques to empower internal subject matter experts to own system administration and configuration. WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience At least 5 years of relevant professional experience Minimum 3-5 years of Workday configuration with a focus in HCM, Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, Recruiting, Absence, Learning, and/or Time Tracking modules Demonstrated success regularly using proven Project Management methodologies to implement changes. A track-record of improving efficiency and effectiveness of processes, workflows, and/or tools that benefit teams and organizations Ability to gather and translate organizational requirements into system specifications and processes A "measure twice, cut once" approach Proven time management abilities to be able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize accordingly Must have ability to build positive relationships, work as part of a team, and collaboratively partner with leaders and peers Due to the live events nature of our business, we are here to support our people and need someone that is able to work from the office 75% of the time WHAT SETS YOU APART:

HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE
HRIS and Analytics Manager is responsible for the optimization of the organization's HRIS (Workday) through collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
