About the Role
Cambria Hotel Boston Downtown is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Sales & Marketing Coordinator to support our Sales Department through a unique blend of administrative, creative, and client-facing responsibilities. This hybrid role is ideal for hospitality marketing students or early-career professionals looking to gain experience in hotel sales, event coordination, and brand marketing in a dynamic, upscale environment.
You'll assist with managing group sales logistics, guest communications, and creative marketing initiatives while contributing to our brand's presence both onsite and online. This position reports to the Director of Sales and works closely with cross-functional hotel departments to help bring our Journey Culture to life-empowering you to lead with heart, take initiative, and deliver memorable guest experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Administrative Support
- Build and manage group blocks in hotel systems (PMS/ChoiceADVANTAGE and Delphi)
- Assist with contracts, billing, deposits, rooming lists, and pre-arrival logistics
- Prepare proposals, group resumes, BEOs, and internal documentation
- Coordinate with clients and internal departments for seamless event execution
- Serve as the main contact for FIT/wholesale and airline crew reservations
- Maintain organized files, reports, onboarding forms, and contact databases
- Draft guest communications, amenity welcome notes, and support VIP arrangements
- Participate in site inspections and weekly Sales and BEO meetings
Marketing & Digital Engagement
- Manage the hotel's social media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)
- Develop and maintain a monthly content calendar and post regularly
- Capture original photo/video content and engage with social media followers
- Monitor and respond to guest reviews on Google, Facebook, OTAs, and TripAdvisor
- Create basic marketing materials including flyers, signage, and email campaigns
- Support the 2026 Sales & Marketing Plan with research and creative input
- Assist in developing the hotel's Destination Experience Plan to showcase local partnerships, seasonal attractions, and curated guest experiences
- Help activate public spaces (e.g., lobby, rooftop) with engaging displays or events
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a program in Hospitality, Marketing, or Communications
- Minimum 1 year of hotel experience, preferably in a front desk or group coordinator role
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Social media savvy and familiar with tools like Instagram, Canva, and Meta Business Suite
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask across varied projects
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with hotel CRM or PMS platforms (e.g., Delphi, ChoiceADVANTAGE) is a plus
- Positive, collaborative, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment
Schedule & Compensation
- Full- or Part-time: 16-40 hours/week with flexibility around school schedules
- Internship for college credit or paid hourly depending on candidate eligibility
- On-site availability required; occasional evening/weekend support, as needed
