We are looking to fill a full-time front medical desk position. Candidates with medical office background experience are desired, but we will consider candidates with transferable clerical office skills, outstanding customer service, and excellent computer and typing skills. This includes greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, verifying insurance, and collecting payments. Front desk staff also handle patient check-ins and check-outs, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient experience.
This position is Monday through Friday 7:15 am to 4:15 pm.
DOE $17-$20
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Interaction: Greet patients warmly, provide helpful information, and ensure a comfortable and positive experience. Telephone Management: Answer phone calls, take messages, and direct calls appropriately. Appointment Scheduling: Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments, coordinating with physicians and staff. Patient Registration and Information: Collect and verify patient information, including demographics, medical history, and insurance details. Insurance Verification and Billing: Verify insurance eligibility, handle co-pays, and assist with billing and insurance-related tasks. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and organized patient records, including electronic medical records (EMR). Check-in and Check-out: Manage patient check-in and check-out procedures, ensuring efficiency and accurate record-keeping. Customer Service: Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor, promptly and effectively addressing patient inquiries and concerns promptly and effectively. Administrative Tasks: Assist with other administrative duties as needed, such as filing, copying, and faxing. Referral Management: Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers
Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen. Must be at least 18 years old to apply.
