Courtyard by Marriott Elmhurst is seeking a friendly, organized, motivated individual to join our team as a Sales Coordinator / Front Desk Agent. This role blends administrative support for our sales department with hands-on guest service at the front desk. Job Title: Full-Time Sales Coordinator / Front Desk Agent Key Responsibilities
Sales Coordinator: • Provide administrative and customer service support to the Sales team. • Assist with data entry, reports, and maintenance of sales files and spreadsheets. • Input group rooming lists, create group master accounts, manage routing instructions, and monitor cut-off dates. • Prepare and distribute group resumes, Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), and customized promotional materials. • Handle inquiries from potential clients by phone, email, or in person. • Support internet research, prospecting, and social media efforts related to sales activities. • Process commission requests and assist with business travel reservations. • Help ensure the department stays organized and on track to meet goals.
Front Desk Operations: • Welcome and assist guests with check-in and check-out efficiently and courteously. • Manage reservations received via phone, email, and online channels, ensuring accuracy in rates, dates, and billing. • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and issues promptly to ensure a positive experience. • Process payments, post charges, and manage credit authorizations or holds. • Maintain reservation files and room availability records. • Communicate effectively with other departments to support guest needs and operational flow. • Uphold Marriott brand standards and always safeguard guest information.

Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent required. • Previous customer service or hospitality experience required; hotel or sales experience preferred. • Strong written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail. • Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with hotel reservation systems is a plus. • Ability to multitask, stay organized, and meet deadlines. • Professional, friendly, and team-oriented attitude. • Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including some evenings and weekends. • A positive attitude and genuine interest in hospitality and sales.
Schedule: Full-time, flexible schedule including weekends and holidays as needed.
