Plant Manager - Manufacturing Facility

Location: Dothan, Alabama

We are seeking a

Plant Manager

to lead operations at a state-of-the-art engineered wood products facility in

Dothan, Alabama . This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with

supervisory experience in manufacturing

who is ready to step into a Plant Manager position.

The Plant Manager will report directly to the

General Manager of the campus (2 plants)

and have a strong

cross-functional support team , along with three supervisors reporting into the role. This is a highly visible position with responsibility for

production, safety, quality, maintenance, and process improvement initiatives .

What You Will Do:

The Plant Manager oversees all aspects of daily operations, ensuring safe and efficient performance across production, maintenance, logistics, and quality control. This leader will champion safety, drive continuous improvement projects, and support the plant in achieving its operational and financial goals while fostering a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities: Provide strong leadership, fostering a culture of

safety, quality, and accountability . Manage plant operations, including

production, maintenance, safety, logistics, and HR functions . Oversee and support three supervisors, ensuring staffing, training, and equipment needs are met. Lead

continuous improvement projects , focusing on efficiency, reliability, and productivity. Implement preventive and predictive maintenance strategies. Drive process optimization and support automation, electrical, or process control improvements. Manage employee relations, training, coaching, and performance development. Ensure compliance with

OSHA and environmental regulations . Oversee site budget, P&L, and KPIs with a focus on productivity, cost control, and waste reduction. Balance office leadership with

hands-on involvement

in plant operations. Qualifications

Proven

supervisory experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting ; experience leading teams is required. Mechanical aptitude

or background in electrical, automation, or process controls. Strong knowledge of

safety practices, regulatory compliance, and production processes . Experience with

continuous improvement methodologies

such as Lean, Six Sigma, or 5S preferred. Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills. Ability to manage budgets, KPIs, and operational goals. Hands-on, team-oriented leader with the ability to balance strategy and floor-level support.
