Job Description Join our dynamic team as a Lead Cybersecurity Architect, where you'll play a pivotal role in safeguarding our organization’s assets. Your responsibilities will include: Communicating and promoting cybersecurity best practices across engineering and business teams to encourage their adoption. Working closely with engineering teams, providing expert advice on architecture decisions and guiding the implementation of cybersecurity controls. Identifying and mitigating cybersecurity risks through effective threat modeling of products and enterprise tools. Offering cybersecurity architecture consultation at major program and solution levels. Collaborating with cybersecurity peers to foster a cohesive department and enhancing internal communication regarding business-specific activities. Acting as the cybersecurity representative for product and engineering teams. Partnering with enterprise architecture, infrastructure, and engineering teams to assess existing architectures, identify gaps, and recommend security enhancements. Contributing to security events and incident response efforts to uncover design gaps and propose remedial solutions. Educating architects and engineers on cybersecurity best practices and standards. Working with legal, governance, risk, and compliance teams to ensure cybersecurity architecture meets regulatory and contractual requirements. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and at least 6 years of relevant experience; alternative combinations include a master's degree with 4 years, a Ph.D. with 1 year, or 10 years of equivalent experience. At least 4 years of dedicated experience in cybersecurity. Proficient in designing, securing, or operating AWS infrastructure and services. Ability to clearly convey cybersecurity policies to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Excellent customer service and communication skills, particularly in writing and executive presentations. A collaborative approach to building productive relationships with stakeholders and other cybersecurity teams. Consultative skills to navigate through complex discussions with employees and senior leadership. Experience in risk evaluation and recommending actions based on business impact. Solid understanding of current cybersecurity architectures such as zero trust, IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and DevSecOps. Creative problem-solving abilities in addressing complex cybersecurity challenges while maintaining strong business acumen. Experience with Agile methodologies and initiating change in Fortune 1000 companies. Proficient knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks like ISO 27000, NIST, and relevant regulations such as GDPR. Experience collaborating with AI agents to assess architectural artifacts and lead cross-functional teams in designing AI-driven solutions. Ability to implement governance frameworks for AI architecture compliance. Skill in improving vendor tool assessments using AI to enhance evaluation efficiency. Preferred Qualifications Experience developing and designing cybersecurity standard methodologies for cloud and on-premises environments. Familiarity with Identity and Access Management (IAM), cryptography, and security protocols. Knowledge of application security implementations. Extensive technology expertise in Python, .NET, Java, and related frameworks. Experience with network architectures, firewalls, and edge services. Understanding of the AWS Well-Architected Framework. Experience establishing strategies for cloud enterprise solutions in AWS, GCP, or Azure. Strong understanding of cloud containers and serverless platforms. Experience in critical infrastructure industries such as telecommunications or financial services. Background in Big Four consulting or Fortune 500 companies. Relevant industry certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or AWS certifications. Compensation: Base salary ranges from $119,600.00 to $199,400.00, varying based on location, knowledge, and experience. Additional compensation, including incentives, may be available. Benefits: We offer generous vacation policies, seven paid holidays per year, and up to 160 hours of paid wellness leave.
