Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Vascular Ultrasound Technologist with 3–5 years of independent vascular lab experience and current RVT or RVS credential for a specialized role in a vascular surgery lab.
Responsibilities Ambulatory vascular surgery lab setting specializing in vascular sonography Role involves comprehensive vascular testing including carotid duplex, venous duplex, arterial physiologic and duplex studies, bypass graft and stent surveillance, abdominal/visceral (renal, mesenteric), and EVAR surveillance Work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 8-hour day shifts Patient population includes those requiring specialized vascular assessments Proficiency with digital reporting systems and PACS required Epic EMR experience preferred or experience with a similar electronic medical record system Must be able to work independently in a specialty environment with minimal orientation Will collaborate closely with a vascular team and support clinical education for trainees No locals accepted; candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility Previous employees of the facility must wait six months after their last assignment to be considered All requested time off must be presented at the time of application Parking may cost up to $43 per day Pass/fail Tele/ECG and Medication tests may be required depending on assignment location Scrub, dress code, and orientation details provided upon offer
Requirements Minimum 3–5 years of full-time, post-training experience in a dedicated vascular ultrasound lab (general ultrasound experience does not qualify) Current credential as RVT (ARDMS) or RVS (CCI) required BLS certification required Demonstrated independent competency in the full spectrum of vascular testing as listed Proficient in communicating with surgeons and advanced practice providers, and in generating clear and concise reports MA license required if applicable Experience in an IAC-accredited vascular lab and/or academic teaching hospital preferred Experience precepting trainees and collaborating in a clinic setting preferred COVID-19 vaccine with booster and flu vaccine required (medical exemptions allowed)
