Senior Plant Mechanic ! ABOUT THE ROLE Amrize, a premier supplier of high-quality construction building materials in the United States, is searching for a dynamic Night Shift Senior Plant Mechanic to enhance operations at our Rockville Quarry in Rockville, Maryland. This pivotal role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a diverse array of fixed electrical and mechanical equipment, systems, and machinery, as well as the installation and repair of mechanical components. Typically, you will work from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., with opportunities for overtime and shift adjustments based on business needs. WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH Exhibit a strong commitment to communication and adherence to safety policies across all work areas. Inspect and assess the condition of plant equipment, executing necessary repairs, and reporting vital findings to the Area Manager. Follow all safety, environmental, and company protocols while completing daily tasks promptly and efficiently. Effectively complete work orders; install, repair, and fabricate metal materials; and ensure the secure and efficient operation of necessary items. Utilize heavy machinery to assemble or repair metal components safely. Conduct comprehensive inspections of plant equipment, performing repairs and preventative maintenance on both fixed and mobile machinery. Prepare and weld steel and aluminum structures, appendages, and equipment as needed. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance to ensure plant and mobile equipment is in optimal condition. Produce required Plant reports and manage inventory for repair supplies and equipment. Support fellow personnel in completing work activities as necessary. Respond to emergency situations to address immediate safety concerns and downtime. Carry out urgent repairs on production equipment to resolve plant breakdowns. Maintain shop cleanliness, equipment, tools, and vehicles to ensure safety and functionality. Rebuild and fabricate parts while attending to electrical equipment repairs. Perform additional tasks as assigned. WHAT WE 'RE LOOKING FOR Education:

High school diploma or GED (required). Field of Study Preferred:

Technical certification or degree in mechanical engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related field (preferred). Required Work Experience:

3 years' experience. Lead a cohesive team of mechanics to ensure the efficient and safe operation of quarry equipment. Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on crushers, conveyors, trucks, and other quarry machinery. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment issues. Oversee significant equipment repairs while ensuring minimal operational downtime. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company safety standards. Monitor and manage inventory of tools, parts, and equipment vital for repairs. Conduct regular assessments of the condition of all equipment and machinery. Coordinate with quarry management on maintenance schedules and equipment necessities. Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and utilized parts. Stay informed on emerging technologies and maintenance practices to boost efficiency and equipment reliability. Additional Requirements: Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and the proper use of Amrize-approved Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including but not limited to respirators.
