is currently seeking candidates for a
Pressure Vessel Welder
role in
Gresham, OR . Our client is a well-established industry leader known for precision fabrication, innovation, and a strong commitment to quality craftsmanship. With decades of experience serving critical industries, they take pride in producing reliable, high-performance welded assemblies that meet the most demanding standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform high-quality welds on pressure vessels, tanks, and related components using MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes. · Read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and engineering drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with ASME standards. · Set up, calibrate, and maintain welding equipment to achieve consistent results. · Conduct weld inspections and make necessary repairs or adjustments to maintain integrity and compliance. · Work with carbon steel, stainless steel, and other alloys as required by project specifications. · Follow strict safety procedures and quality control guidelines throughout the welding process. · Collaborate with engineering and fabrication teams to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion. · Maintain accurate documentation of welds, inspections, and material certifications as required by company and regulatory standards.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a certified welding program or apprenticeship . · Minimum of 3 years’ experience in pressure vessel or structural welding. · Proficient in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding processes. · Current or previous ASME Section IX certification (or ability to obtain) strongly . · Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and weld symbols. · Strong understanding of metallurgy, heat control, and weld quality requirements. · Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing safe, compliant welds. · Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and work in a fabrication shop environment.
