Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with at least 2 years of OR experience and a GA or compact RN license.
Responsibilities Position is in the Operating Room of a hospital setting Handles a variety of cases including robotics, neuro, ortho, plastics, and gynecology Night shifts are 12 hours (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM), 3 shifts per week 13-week contract assignment No on-call required No local candidates within a 50-mile radius Duties include circulating and scrubbing for a wide variety of surgical procedures Assignment occurs over major and minor holiday periods with required coverage Must request all time off (RTO) up front; no additional requests allowed after offer Assignment does not accept first-time travelers Candidates must meet a 50-mile residence radius requirement Returning employees must have been gone for at least 2 years
Requirements Active GA or compact RN license Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Operating Room nursing Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred Must be able to work 2 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Years Day) and 1 minor holiday (Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve) Permanent staff returning as travelers must have a 2-year break
