Maintenance Technician

This position will be based at our Kohler, Wisconsin location. We specialize in manufacturing high-quality cast iron products. Your responsibilities will include: Providing electrical/electronic and mechanical diagnostics and performing repairs to process machinery, equipment, and controls within assigned work area. Repairing all electrical equipment within assigned department responsibility. Performing all required preventive and predictive maintenance procedures on specified machinery and equipment. Understanding and working from ladder diagrams, electronic schematics, and engineering drawings. Understanding and repairing PLC, CNC, and robotic equipment and controls. Performing mechanical repairs to all machines and equipment, e.g., alignment of machine spindles, slides, and ways. Repairing a variety of hydraulic and pneumatic valves and controls, pressure regulators, pumps, tools, etc. Inspecting and repairing all hoists, cables, hooks, shafts, packing, and valves on air hoist, and sheaves on electric hoist. Applying lubrication to equipment as required on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. Utilizing a wide variety of equipment and tools proficiently. Using Computerized Maintenance Management software to create work notifications, look-up and order parts, print work orders, and enter time confirmations. Practicing and following all required safety regulations. Ensuring the quality required in each job performed. Effective communication skills for manufacturing production processes. Must be at least 18 years old. High School diploma/GED, and associate degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology or equivalent training in the theory and application of electro-mechanical devices required. Must complete a written technical skills evaluation and receive a passing score on the STM (Standard Timing Model) assessment. Must be capable of operating a fork truck. Must provide own tools.
