Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN for a night shift role in a large Level 1 trauma setting requiring neuro and trauma skills.
Responsibilities Work in a hospital Operating Room (OR) setting 21 main ORs and 6 ambulatory ORs with potential to float between rooms Responsible for a variety of surgical cases including neuro/crani, trauma, ortho-trauma, spine, general, vascular, ENT, GYN, and GU/cyst procedures Night shift schedule from 6:45pm to 7:15am, weekdays only No call or weekend shifts required Holiday shifts are required Two-week repeating schedule of weekday nights; no block scheduling Responsible for supporting a wide range of high-acuity surgical procedures Must be able to work effectively within a multidisciplinary trauma OR team Holiday coverage is mandatory within the contract period First-time travelers are not eligible for this position
Requirements Active GA or Compact RN license required Minimum 3 years of OR experience in a large Level 1 trauma facility Prior travel experience in a similar setting required Strong skills in neuro/crani procedures (including Burr hole), trauma, ortho-trauma, spine, general (open belly), vascular, ENT, GYN, and GU/cyst High proficiency ratings on all areas of the OR skills checklist Must be able to float between main and ambulatory OR rooms
