Join JPMorgan Chase’s Firmwide Regulatory Reporting & Analysis team within Corporate Finance! This group is responsible for executing and delivering the Firm’s regulatory reporting requirements to U.S. regulators. The team manages end-to-end U.S. regulatory reporting and capital stress testing, including design, implementation, analysis, and governance. Their focus is on investing in people, processes, and technology to improve accuracy and consistency in regulatory submissions. The team also leads the implementation of new regulatory requirements and guidelines as they are published.
As an External Reporting Controller – Associate within the Firmwide Regulatory Reporting & Analysis team, you will partner with colleagues across Corporate Finance, Risk functions, and the Firm’s Line of Business to prepare the FR Y-14Q/A report, which consists of several financial schedules covering JPM’s core financial components. These submissions provide detailed data on pre-provision net revenue (PPNR), loans, securities, trading and counterparty risk, as well as losses related to operational-risk events and business plan changes, assisting external regulators in assessing the Firm’s capital adequacy.
Job responsibilities:
Aggregate, collect and submit FR Y-14 schedule submissions from various groups within the Firm
Review FR Y-14Q schedule submissions to ensure accuracy, completeness and reasonableness
Assist in the implementation and execution of controls around aggregated submitted results, these controls include quarterly reconciliations / variance analysis / edit checks and review of attestations from upstream data providers
Produce quarterly and ad-hoc analytics of submitted LOB and aggregated submitted results using tools such as Tableau.
Utilize strategic platforms such as Neutron and AXIOM to collect and analyze results
Drive improvement of reporting through remediation of issues in reporting process and automation
Interpret regulatory policy and ensure compliance with regulatory instructions
Communicate regulatory changes and FRB guidance in a clear concise manner
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Minimum of 4 years of experience in a finance
Strong communications skills, written and verbal – significant interaction with Lines Of Business, risk streams and senior managers
Demonstrates a solid understanding of financial statements and can effectively analyze how Firm quarterly results impact overall financial performance
Strong partnership building skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel & PowerPoint in particular)
Strong sense of control and governance
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance strongly preferred
