Summary / Objective
Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the IT Director – Infrastructure will lead the Technology Infrastructure and Security team, ensuring efficient, secure, and scalable infrastructure that aligns with organizational goals and user requirements.
Essential Functions
Design, develop, and deploy enterprise technology infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Operate and maintain infrastructure to provide high availability, performance, and security.
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of IT professionals across networking, systems, cloud, and support disciplines.
Collaborate with vendors, business units, and stakeholders to select, integrate, and manage infrastructure solutions.
Develop and execute infrastructure and cybersecurity strategies, including budgeting, risk mitigation, and technology upgrades.
Responsibilities & Duties
Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy focused on reliability, security, and client service.
Plan for long‑term infrastructure scalability to support firm growth.
Oversee design, implementation, and maintenance of networks, servers, cloud services, and hardware.
Ensure high availability and performance of IT systems.
Manage IT asset lifecycle, including procurement, deployment, and decommissioning.
Monitor performance, optimize resource utilization, and minimize downtime.
Maintain a robust cybersecurity program to protect sensitive data and meet regulatory requirements.
Conduct vulnerability scans, penetration testing, and incident response.
Lead the IT service desk and develop SLAs for support excellence.
Provide training and professional development for service desk staff.
Manage vendor relationships, ensuring cost‑effective, reliable services.
Prepare and maintain the IT budget, maximizing cost efficiency.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Maintain documentation and reporting for audits and compliance.
Implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
Identify and evaluate emerging technologies to enhance capabilities.
Report on infrastructure performance and project status to senior management.
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; graduate degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in IT operations, team leadership, and project oversight.
Minimum of 5 years in a leadership or management role within IT.
Excellent knowledge of computer systems, security, networking, and telecommunications.
Strong leadership, decision‑making, and project management skills.
Exceptional communication and relationship building across all organizational levels.
Travel No travel is expected for this position.
Work Environment This role operates in a clerical, office setting and uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
Physical Demands The position requires lifting, pushing, and pulling IT equipment up to 50 pounds, bending/kneeling, and standing as necessary.
Position Type and Hours Full‑time, exempt position. Standard working days are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some evening or weekend hours may be required based on business needs.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $170,000.00 – $190,000.00 per year.
