The Record to Report (R2R) Global Process Owner is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the global R2R process across the organization. This role will manage the month end close, financial reporting and related general accounting processes, system administration, master data management, and data analytics. The Global Process Owner will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive operational efficiency, standardization, and compliance, while focusing on implementing best practices, continuous improvement, and leveraging data analytics for strategic decision‑making.
The successful candidate will bring a blend of strategic leadership, process expertise, and technical proficiency to enhance efficiency and drive value for the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with regional accounting teams, finance business partners, IT, and other departments to ensure R2R processes are aligned with global accounting policies.
Lead the development, standardization, and optimization of global Record to Report processes across finance teams, ensuring alignment with best practices across regions, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Drive adoption of new tools, technologies, and methodologies that enhance end-to-end process efficiency. Develop and monitor KPIs and SLAs for R2R performance.
Oversee the administration and optimization of process-related systems. Work closely with IT to ensure systems are effectively supporting business processes. Collaborate with system vendors to manage performance, service levels, and continuous improvement efforts. Ensure that system enhancements are aligned with the business’s strategic objectives.
Lead global master data management initiatives to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and compliance across all systems in collaboration with the Master Data team. Establish governance policies for accounting master data (chart of accounts, cost center structures, etc.).
Develop and manage analytics capabilities to provide actionable insights to drive process efficiency. Implement data‑driven decision‑making to support strategic initiatives.
Ensure global R2R processes comply with company policies, regulatory requirements, and audit standards. Proactively identify and mitigate risks related to in‑scope processes and data management.
Develop and implement training programs to ensure end users understand and follow standardized policies, procedures and processes. Lead change management initiatives to support the successful implementation of new systems and processes.
Manage third‑party relationships (e.g., auditors, system vendors).

Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent, MBA or Masters degree preferred.
8+ years of experience in accounting, shared services, or a related field with a focus on R2R processes, system administration, and transactional operations.
Experience working in a multinational organization with knowledge of international and local reporting requirements and accounting standards for countries across the globe including the US, Brazil, Israel, China and others.
Extensive experience with ERP systems (JD Edwards and Oracle preferred) and R2R platforms and the ability to lead system configuration and optimization initiatives.
Expertise in master data management, process standardization, and process governance.
Strong knowledge of global R2R processes, including close processes, financial reporting, accounting policies and procedures, fixed assets, cost accounting, etc.
Experienced working in a matrixed environment.
Proven experience in leading process improvement initiatives and managing cross‑functional, global teams.
Advanced analytical skills with experience in data‑driven decision‑making, analytics, and reporting tools.
Experience in managing centers of excellence focused on process improvements and best practice implementation.
Professional certifications: CPA and PMP are a plus.
