Job Overview
Johnson Service Group is seeking a part‑time Research Associate II to support our client In Vivo research projects located in San Francisco, CA. This 6‑month contract involves executing experiments, troubleshooting assays, and contributing to the development and improvement of research protocols.
Responsibilities
Independently perform experiments and assist with experimental design and data analysis.
Collaborate with scientists and research associates to investigate novel therapies.
Maintain lab operations and specialized equipment.
Analyze and present experimental data to project teams.
Record and maintain detailed electronic lab notebook reports.
Required Skills and Experience
Proficiency in basic molecular biology techniques (PCR, Western blot, RT‑PCR, cloning).
Experience with immunology and oncology assays; flow cytometry and cell sorting a plus.
Skilled in sterile tissue culture and handling human cells.
Experience recording data in electronic lab notebooks.
Ability to learn new protocols quickly, plan experiments, and manage time independently.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and data analysis software (Prism, FlowJo, Spotfire, Geneious, etc.).
Comfort working in a matrixed team environment and learning new lab equipment/software.
Education & Experience
BSc in biotechnology, molecular biology, microbiology, immunology, oncology, or related field with 5+ years of relevant experience.
MSc in biotechnology, molecular biology, microbiology, immunology, oncology, or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience.
Pay rate: $50.48/hr. 6‑month contract.
