What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Advise on all aspects of project financing, including tax equity and debt financing
Draft, review, and negotiate loan agreements and financing documents
Structure and negotiate residential solar fund transactions and related documents
Provide legal guidance on capital raises, joint ventures, and risk management strategies
Liaise with external counsel, lenders, and regulatory bodies to facilitate transactions
What is Required (Qualifications)
J.D. degree from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
Minimum of 7 years of legal experience focused on project finance and energy transactions
Strong knowledge of debt and equity financing structures, particularly in renewable energy
Experience in negotiating complex project agreements and financing documents
Understanding of FERC, IRS, DOE, and state-level energy regulations
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Law firm and/or in-house experience preferred
Strong financial acumen with an understanding of project finance modeling
Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously
Experience providing internal training on project finance best practices
