Base Salary : £110k

Our client is a leading utilities contracting firm is seeking a driven and experienced
Commercial Manager
to join its team.
This is a pivotal role, with the successful candidate taking full ownership of all commercial aspects of key projects, from initial tender and contract negotiation to financial close and final account settlement. You will be responsible for proactively managing commercial risks, ensuring project profitability, and building strong relationships with clients and suppliers.
This position is ideal for a
Senior Quantity Surveyor
with a strong background in the
utilities or civil engineering sector
within the UK.
The Role
Develop and implement commercial strategies for all projects.
Lead negotiations with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to secure favourable terms.
Oversee project budgets, cost forecasting, and reporting to ensure financial targets are met.
Identify and manage commercial risks, implementing effective mitigation strategies.
Mentor and guide a commercial team, fostering a culture of high performance and professional growth.
Manage and resolve any contractual disputes or claims effectively.
The Person
Proven track record in a senior commercial or quantity surveying role within the UK utilities or multi-utility connections sector.
Comprehensive understanding of JCT and NEC3/NEC4 contracts and relevant UK contract law.
Exceptional negotiation, communication, and leadership skills. A strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail.
Highly motivated, results-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
