Position Summary The Fund Development Manager is a new role supporting DISH’s growing Fund Development Team. This position helps implement our annual fundraising plan and leads donor data management, volunteer projects, and community-building efforts. The role includes executing fundraising campaigns, events, and donor stewardship activities in collaboration with the Director of Fund Development and Marketing Communications Coordinator. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is data-driven, organized, and passionate about social impact in San Francisco. Key Responsibilities Donation Processing & Platform Oversight Manage donation entry, recordkeeping, and documentation in Salesforce CRM and online donation platforms such as GoFundMe and Classy. Reconcile donations with the accounting team and ensure compliance with ethical fundraising practices. Maintain up-to-date donor data, conduct database cleanup, and ensure data accuracy. Donor Stewardship & Communications Record and track stewardship activities in Salesforce. Prepare donor acknowledgments, reports, and communications materials. Collaborate with staff and board members on donor engagement projects and annual appeals. Reporting & Prospect Research Conduct research on individuals, foundations, and corporations for donor prospects. Build dashboards and reports to track donor trends and campaign results. Grants Management Maintain a calendar of grant deadlines and reporting dates. Coordinate proposal submissions and reporting with program and communications teams. Event Support Support planning and execution of DISH’s annual fundraiser and community events. Manage event platforms, receipts, reporting, and post-event donor follow-up. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience). 2–3+ years of experience in fundraising, nonprofit operations, or data management. Proficiency in Salesforce CRM or similar database systems. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience supporting events, donor stewardship, and fundraising campaigns. Commitment to DISH’s mission and values, and enthusiasm for collaborative teamwork. Work Environment Hybrid schedule: at least 3 days per week in the office. Occasional evening or weekend work required for events. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs occasionally and sit or stand for extended periods.
