The Experiential Learning (EL) Coordinator manages the logistics and promotion of internships, fellowships, and related experiences primarily through EL platforms while collaborating closely with campus partners. This role serves as a resource for students, faculty, and employers, supporting engagement with (EL) programs. This includes contributing to the development, assessment, and promotion of (EL) resources and events to ensure alignment with both Career Center and University goals. Reviews and approves internships, fellowships, co-ops, volunteer opportunities, on-campus positions, graduate positions, and other experiential learning opportunities to ensure compliance with institutional guidelines and standards. Reviews and approves new employer internship requests submitted through the platform. Partners with OU Human Resources to audit student worker positions listed in Handshake and assess their eligibility for internship conversion. Serves as the primary contact for employer and stakeholder inquiries regarding internship logistics, including pay guidelines, course credit, and skill-building criteria. Collaborates with departments across campus to collect, evaluate, and promote experiential learning opportunities aligned with students¿ academic and professional goals. Works with registered student organizations to guide students in articulating how their work contributes to career readiness and experiential learning. Audits and evaluates existing experiential learning platforms for usability and effectiveness Researches and promotes emerging tools and platforms to expand experiential learning resources available to students Develops and implements promotional strategies to raise awareness and encourage usage of experiential learning tools and opportunities by students, faculty, and staff. Contributes to fostering an inclusive environment that encourages broad student participation in experiential learning opportunities across backgrounds, disciplines, and interests.
