Location: Tyler, TX (Flexibility for remote/hybrid work).

Job Summary The Vice President (VP) of Construction will be responsible for the overall project management of onsite and offsite activities to maximize quality and profitability. The VP will oversee and coordinate construction projects from pre‑bid to closeout, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, schedules, budgets, and quality standards. This strategic leader will work with the leadership team to align construction practices with company goals and growth initiatives. The position may be hybrid with a combination of in‑office and remote work.

General Requirements

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams.

Capability in various software applications including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel), Bluebeam, Outlook, Primavera, and Procore.

Ability to remain flexible and efficient in a fast‑paced environment.

Time‑management and organizational skills with the ability to meet critical deadlines.

Excellent decision‑making skills with a strong understanding of business and financial impacts.

Have completed at least one SCI job as a project manager.

Experience with numerous delivery types (CMAR, Design Build, Stipulated Sum, Negotiated).

Assess schedule, create recovery schedules, and relay implementation.

Duties

Provides oversight, strategic direction, and project management support to all active and upcoming construction projects.

Manages and leads multiple projects from preconstruction to closeout, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.

Oversees and continuously improves company processes and procedures related to project planning, execution, and completion.

Develops and maintains long‑lasting relationships with project owners, clients, subcontractors, and other professionals in the field.
