OPS Consulting is seeking Software Engineers to work in Annapolis Junction, MD. The Software Engineer (SWE) will develop, maintain, enhance, and resolve diverse and complex software systems. Working individually and as part of a team, the SWE will utilize software development and design methodologies and provide input to the software components of system design. The role includes evaluating hardware/software trade-offs, leveraging COTS/GOTS software, and performing requirements analysis and synthesis from system-level to software components. Responsibilities: * Design, code, test, and integrate software systems or modify existing software to add new capabilities. * Debug, troubleshoot, and correct software defects. * Participate in design reviews, requirements analysis, and documentation updates. * Develop and implement algorithms, data repositories, and software interfaces. * Support integration of software into new or modified systems or operating environments. Required Experience: * A bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university. * Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. A bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree totaling four (4) years. Level 1: A bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree totaling eleven (11) years. Level 2: A bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree totaling eighteen (18) years. Level 3: A bachelor's degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Four (4) years of additional SWE experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor's degree totaling twenty-four (24) years.
