GLEZ Designs Project Coordinator

Our team takes pride in delivering a project from the concept stage through the construction, and finally restoration of a quality product turned over to our clients. We partner with our clients with a team first mentality and understand we are only as successful as they are.

Position Details:

We are currently looking for a motivated Project Coordinator to support our project management team working closely with design, construction, and various state and local agencies during the review, submittal and expediting process of our permits.

Responsibilities:

Coordination with local, State, and Government agencies to obtain record documents, maps, and plans for design purposes.

Ability to interact with both internal/external project teams, and key agency staff during initial design phases and through the construction phases to ensure appropriate feedback, timely submittal and review or permit packages and their issuance.

Assembles, checks, and submits permit packages either directly or through client’s submittal personnel or portals.

Expedites permit package preparation and throughout the permit duration until the completion of construction.

Prepares permit submittal including, but not limited to, access permits, pre and post construction, traffic control, encroachment, roadway crossings both underground and overhead.

Establishes and maintains relationships with client staff, public, permitting agency staff, and others contacted during the project duration.

Inform the team of all new and any changes related to the permitting process.

Keeps up to date on agencies permitting processes and procedural changes.

Attends team and client work status meetings.

Qualifications:

2-3 years of utility or underground infrastructure permitting experience .

Ability to interpret/understand technically written documents and create, draft, and edit designs, meeting agendas/notes, and permitting applications required.

Proficiency using in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Proficiency using in KMZ review and creation via Google Earth Pro

Proficiency using Adobe Acrobat Pro

Excellent verbal and written communications skills as well as interpersonal communication skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Works well in a team environment and can guide the team through the permit process.

Prior QA/QC review experience in a variety of document types such as reports, construction designs, permit applications & exhibits, etc. required.

High school diploma required.
