MIG Welder Fabrication Team

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled MIG Welder to join our fabrication team. In this role, you will prepare, cut, assemble, and weld various metal components and structures using MIG welding equipment. You'll interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure accurate and consistent fabrication of quality metal products.

Shift: 6:30 to 3:30 Monday Thursday Friday 7:00am-11:00am

Pay: Starting at $20ph and will be based on weld test and interview results

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, patterns, and schematics to lay out metal parts accurately

Set up welding equipment, fixtures, and materials (steel, aluminum, etc.) per job specifications

Operate MIG welding machines, adjusting settings (amperage, voltage, gas flow) to produce clean, strong welds

Tack weld, fully weld, grind, finish, and weld components to form complete assemblies

Perform drilling, cutting, tool assembly, and other shop operations as needed

Inspect welds during and after fabrication to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications

Maintain clean, organized and safe workspace, adhering to all safety protocols and wearing required PPE

Perform preventative maintenance on welding equipment; report or fix minor issues as needed

Qualifications & Skills

High school diploma or GED (or equivalent)

Formal MIG welding training or completion of an apprenticeship; AWS certification is a plus

Minimum 6-12 months of MIG welding experience in a production or fabrication setting

Ability to read and interpret welding symbols, blueprints, and technical drawings

Strong hand-eye coordination, depth perception, and visual acuity

Good physical strength and stamina; able to lift up to ~50 lbs, stand for long periods, bend, stoop

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving capability

Strong commitment to safety and proper PPE use at all times

Qualifications (Optional)

Experience with welding Aluminum

Forklift experience/certification

Ability to mentor junior welders or apprentices

Prior experience working in structural or architectural metal fabrication
