Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Stage Crew Worker for the Mason Gross School of the Arts - Theater Arts department.

Among the key duties of the position are the following:

Handles scene, costume, sound, lighting, and/or properties. Participates as part of carpentry, theatrical electricians, costume drapers/stitchers, backstage crew, or front of house staff during rehearsal and performance.

Salary Details $15.49 - $30/hourly

Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience

High school/vocational school education or equivalent experience. Certifications/Licenses

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree. Professional experience in area of theatrical production or equivalent professional experience.

Equipment Utilized

Power tools including but not limited to drills, saws (circular, miter, band), routers, nail guns, and sanders. Sewing machines, steamers, and other costume related equipment utilized in the costume shop.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Employees must be comfortable on ladders and be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs. Special Conditions

Hours vary from sporadic to 19.5 hours per week.
