Quality Engineer with Security Clearance

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a Quality Engineer. Position Type: Full time Contract. Rochester, NY As a Quality Engineer, you will: • Responsible for the identification and documentation of quality discrepancies related to assembly, process, mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems. • Facilitates the implementation of standards, methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of company products. • Leads the preparation and execution of internal audits within established manufacturing and production controls to ensure compliance with internal and external specifications and standards. • Oversees testing department activities and work of inspectors. • Develops inspection techniques, tools, and supplemental inspection instructions in support of standards, methods and procedures. • Participates in supplier corrective and preventative actions, including customer escapes, process nonconformities, supplier corrective actions, customer and change control, and material review board meetings. • Works under moderate supervision to set objectives for own job area. • Review documentation for products upon receipt, primarily First Article Inspections. • Participates in supplier corrective and preventative actions, including customer escapes, process nonconformities, supplier corrective actions, customer and change control, and material review board meetings An Ideal candidate will have • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Materials Science Engineering or related field. • Excellent communication, technical writing and presentation skills. • Knowledge and/or experience with Microsoft Tool Suite • Experience in the development of manufacturing work instructions • Knowledge and/or experience with Agile Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) or similar PLM tool.
