Apex Systems is currently hiring for a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) Systems Administrator with a mission-driven technology company delivering innovative solutions and services to their clients. Project Details / Mission Supported: • Support the design, configuration, and maintenance of a large, globally accessed virtual desktop environment. • Experienced in system design and integration, identity life-cycle management, and process automation and improvement
• Troubleshooting all related performance issue across the organization
• Ensure optimization of desktops for platform interoperability and act as liaison between Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) technologies.
• Offers endpoint support on issues and trouble resolution tasks on Virtual Desktop related tasks.
• Document operational integration of future technologies (and update as required.)
• Maintains an Advanced knowledge relative to administration, engineering, and implementation of virtual desktop infrastructure-related technologies.
• Bachelor's Degree with 12+ years of experience
Experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, VMware Horizon, and Nutanix AHV
• Skilled in profile disk solutions (FSLogix, Liquidware, Citrix PM, VMware DEM)
• Strong troubleshooting skills for Windows-based virtual desktops
• Ability to collaborate remotely with teams and management
• Knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy management
• Experience using Liquidware Stratusphere UX for performance monitoring
• Comfortable supporting customer training objectives
• Scripting experience with PowerShell, Python, or Bash Required Certification(s):
Computing Environment Certification (one of the following): o VMware Certified Professional – Desktop Management 2023 (VCP-DTM 2023)
o Citrix Certified Professional – Virtualization (1Y0-204)
o Microsoft AZ-140: Configuring and Operating Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop
o Microsoft SC-300: Microsoft Identity and Access Administrator
o EX200: Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) Location: Fully onsite, Monday - Friday
