DCI Job Requirement for: Virtual Desk Infrastructure (VDI) SME
Location: Miami, Florida Job Description:
• Serve as a VDI Subject Matter Expert
• Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI):
o Develop and optimize the existing SolarWinds VDI dashboard for real-time performance o Manage VDI images, ensuring secure Gold Image baselines with required security agents o Document baseline images for consistent management and troubleshooting
o Implement Microsoft Power STIG to improve DoD STIG compliance
o Configure and maintain Horizon Desktop/Infrastructure for improvements
o Optimize paging files and enhance reliability of virtual desktop environments
• User Profile & Automation Management:
o Adjust and manage Liquidware Profile Unity for improved load times and profile stability
o Integrate Terraform with GitLab for documented and deployable infrastructure configurations
• Network Security & Authentication:
o Collaborate with the team to review and enhance Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) and 802.1X authentication implementations
o Ensure seamless workstation integration and authentication to secure and manage network access
o Develop and optimize Cisco ISE rules in alignment with government cyber task orders Qualifications:
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability
• Capacity for collaboration in highly secure, compliance-driven environments
• Ability to document, communicate, and implement technical solutions effectively
• Must demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas:
o vSphere Hypervisor (ESXi)
o vCenter
o Horizon Client
o Liquidware Profile Unity
o Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE)
o GitLab (DoD instance)
o GitLab 3.1.1.1 VDI Performance Optimization & Automation
o SolarWinds (VDI Dashboard)
o Aria Suite
o Terraform
o Ansible Active DoD TS/SCI Clearance
