Position Overview
Gregory Construction is seeking a skilled
Project Controls Scheduler
to join our team in
Columbus, Mississippi . This position is responsible for developing, monitoring, and maintaining project schedules for multiple construction projects to ensure work is completed on time, within budget, and in alignment with company standards.
This is an
on-site position
located in our
Columbus, MS office . A
hybrid arrangement may be considered
for candidates who reside outside the area, based on qualifications and experience.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or other scheduling tools.
Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and superintendents to establish realistic and achievable schedules.
Track and analyze project progress, identifying critical paths, risks, and potential delays.
Prepare and present schedule updates, reports, and forecasts for internal and external stakeholders.
Support project controls functions including cost tracking, resource loading, and earned value analysis.
Ensure compliance with company and client scheduling standards and reporting requirements.
Assist in planning meetings and provide input for continuous improvement in scheduling processes.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field ().
Minimum of
3–5 years of experience
in project scheduling, preferably in the construction industry.
Proficiency in
Primavera P6
and/or
Microsoft Project .
Strong understanding of construction sequencing, critical path methodology, and project controls.
Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
