Founded in 2008, Hightower is a wealth management firm that provides investment, financial and retirement planning services to individuals, foundations and family offices, as well as 401(k) consulting and cash management services to corporations. Hightower’s capital solutions, operational support services, size and scale empower its vibrant community of independent-minded wealth advisors to grow their businesses and help their clients achieve their financial vision. Based in Chicago with advisors across the U.S., we operate as a registered investment advisor (RIA).
Your Future Team Hightower’s Wealth Solutions team empowers advisors to do more for their clients by delivering specialized estate and financial planning, trust administration, tax, business, and investment services. The Wealth Solutions team partners with advisors as an extension of their team to differentiate their value to prospective clients and deepen their client relationships.
Reporting to Hightower Trust Company, you will be responsible for working directly with advisors to integrate trust services into their client offering. As a national trust charter with robust fiduciary capabilities, we tailor trust services to enable clients to preserve their legacy and transfer wealth. Your role is to partner with advisors to identify and win client trust mandates, working throughout the end-to-end trust sales cycle. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of the value proposition of corporate trustee services and how to successfully implement services for clients across the wealth spectrum to effectively achieve annual asset targets. In addition, the successful candidate will be proficient at building and cultivating relationships with advisors and centers of influence. You also have high client service standards.
As a Trust Relationship Manager, you will work closely with Hightower’s Estate & Financial Planning Group as they build estate strategies that recommend the services of the trust company. You will also work directly with the Trust Administration and Trust Operations teams to effectively close and onboard new business. The Trust Relationship Manager will be accountable for overall client and advisor satisfaction throughout the onboarding process. Lastly, Trust Relationship Manager is expected to travel up to 25%.
What You’ll Do Integrate Trust Services into Advisor Practices
Build relationships with Hightower’s Advisor Practices
Drive the adoption of trust services by ensuring advisors understand and can articulate the value of corporate trustee services for their clients
Trust Services Business Development
Work with advisors and their clients to align trustee/agent capabilities with their client’s trust and estate needs
Review client’s trust administration requirements and propose structure, pricing, and service model in alignment with the Hightower trust offering.
Meet annual asset goals for new trust assets and revenue to the Hightower Trust Company
Closing Trust Service Business
Work with advisors, clients and estate attorneys to drive new business opportunities through the pipeline from identification through commitment and account opening.
Facilitate appointment of Hightower Trust Company as successor trustee.
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor's degree, masters or J.D. is a benefit but not required
10+ years of experience in trust administration, sales, or related fields
Demonstrated success indriving a successful business growth model by closing trust opportunities
Excellent communication skills across advisor, client, and corporate audiences, using clarity and poise to influence others
Highly structured thinking and a process-oriented approach to solving problems and engaging with colleagues and advisors
Proven ability to engage clients and advisors with professionalism and consultative service
Ability to contribute to the development of content, presentations, and initiatives to drive trust growth
